He made it!
You will see quite a few other kids in this picture. We had quite a few come to spend the summer with different families in the US. It was wonderful to see all their beautiful little faces. I have created quite a relationship with all of them.
So... JM is back. He is spending the day relaxing. My boys are not home yet so it is a quiet day, which is probably best because both JM and I had such a long day of travels yesterday.
All of these kids have had English classes and for most, their English just explodes while they are here. It is quite difficult for me because they all default to Spanish with me, and the same for me with them. It is just easier. And so, I have to really discipline myself to use English so that JM's English can improve this summer.
It also is a bit different. When he was here over Christmas break, E was here with him and E talked. He talked A LOT! And so JM did not have to speak. JM can't rely on E since E is not here.
We've got quite a few activities planned over the next few weeks, of course because JM is here but also because it is summer and we have to have some fun! I am excited to see how much he enjoys his time here. I was nervous with him coming as I really am not sure how he feels. He is SO quiet, SO observant. And, well, you all know me. I am NOT quiet. In face, I am quite the opposite.
Anyways, thank you so much for following us on our journey. I love being able to talk about our time together and make people aware of these kids (orphan advocacy). With all the negativity in the world right now, I am going to focus on kindness, love and happiness with my kiddos this summer.
